Dog and Cat Grooming

The Grooming Room specializes in Dog and Cat grooming services for the residents of Leasingham, Ruskington, Cranwell, Sleaford and the surrounding villages.

All the work is carried out by myself and I hold a City & Guilds 7750 Advanced Dog Grooming Certificate.

I only use quality natural shampoos and products that contain essential oils for their therapeutic uses. These are chosen specific to your animals skin and hair type. As well as being used within The Grooming Room they can be purchased for home use.

If needed, veterinary medicated shampoos can also be used, as long as they have been prescribed by your veterinary surgeon for your animal.

The Grooming Room provides a highly professional service, for both cats and dogs. My primary concern is for the welfare of your pet during their stay with me. The aim is to provide an un-stressful environment so that your pet feels happy and comfortable with being groomed. While your pet is in my care it will be well looked after in a friendly manner.

Our lifestyles are continually changing, meaning less free time and smaller houses. With this in mind grooming parlors, that were once thought of as "poodle parlors" have had to evolve and change. Here at The Grooming Room we can offer a full range of services to suit your lifestyle and all breeds of dogs and cats are catered for whatever their age or temperament.

Owners have pets for different reasons and not all owners want a 'show dog' look. They may want a handsome family pet that is clean and well groomed. It is my responsibility to assist the owner in this avenue of pet care and the services that I offer do this. There are many grooming options that will be appropriate to your animal based upon the lifestyle that you and your dog enjoy.  To gain the best results dogs need to be groomed regularly and it is also a good idea if you can brush and groom your dog in between trims too as this will save you time and money and it will also be beneficial to the dog as it won't need to stay so long in the salon!

Living in the countryside you may find that you require your dog to be bathed and dried during the winter weather or you may just need a slight tidy up for you pet. We also offer the complete package of a bath, dry and clip/scissor to suit you and your pets needs. Nail trimming and ear cleaning are always carried out if needed.

Many dogs that are traditionally hand stripped or shown in a full natural coat are clipper cut in the pet world. Although I always try to adhere to breed standards it is not always feasible for the pet or the owner. However I try to capture the proper essence of the breed. It does not matter whether the dog is a champion winner or a beloved family pet you can be sure that you will have a well balanced, stylish and impeccable finish.

It is important that all animals get used to being handled and groomed as this will relieve stress for both you and your dog. If you have a puppy or a very timid dog that may be a rescue or has been frightened by another grooming experience then I invite you to bring them along to sit, watch and gain a trust.
